The one-entry-per-day limit is intentional and designed to encourage meaningful, reflective journaling. This constraint helps maintain the quality and emotional depth of your entries, rather than treating the journal as a casual social media feed. It also creates a consistent chronological record of your journey over time, making your journal more valuable both personally and potentially as an NFT.
Technical Questions
SuiSoulJournal is built on the Sui blockchain. We chose Sui for its fast transaction speeds, low gas fees, and object-centric model which is perfect for NFTs. Sui's architecture allows us to create a seamless journaling experience while ensuring your entries are securely stored on-chain with minimal cost.
Your journal entries use a hybrid storage approach:
- Metadata and access controls are stored directly on the Sui blockchain
- Content and media are stored on IPFS (InterPlanetary File System), a decentralized storage network
- References linking your content to your journal NFT are stored on-chain
This approach ensures your entries are permanent and immutable while keeping gas costs reasonable.
Privacy Questions
You have complete control over the privacy of your journal entries. By default, your entries are private and only visible to you. You can choose to make specific entries public, share them with selected individuals, or keep them completely private. Even if you sell your journal NFT, your private entries remain encrypted and accessible only to you unless you specifically choose to transfer access rights.
If you lose access to your wallet, you may lose access to your journal. We strongly recommend keeping your wallet seed phrase and private keys secure. Consider using a hardware wallet for additional security. In the future, we plan to implement recovery options, but the decentralized nature of blockchain means we cannot reset or recover your wallet credentials for you.
Pricing Questions
Minting a journal is a one-time fee that grants you lifetime access to the basic journaling features. The exact price will be announced closer to our public launch, but we're committed to keeping it accessible.
After minting, the only additional costs are the minimal Sui network gas fees for recording your entries on-chain, which typically amount to fractions of a cent per entry.
There are no mandatory subscription fees. Once you mint your journal NFT, you can use the core features forever without additional charges beyond the minimal network gas fees. We may offer premium templates, enhanced storage options, or special features in the future as optional purchases, but the basic journaling functionality will always be available to journal owners without subscription fees.
NFT Questions
Yes, your journal NFT can be sold on compatible NFT marketplaces. However, there are important privacy considerations: private entries remain encrypted and accessible only to you unless you specifically choose to transfer access rights. When you sell your journal, the buyer receives the journal template, any public entries, and the ability to add new entries going forward, but not access to your private content.
